The love of sharing Christ…

As the Lord has opened up doors for me to share His name around the world, I realize that there are so many hurting people in need of love. It breaks my heart at times and I feel the urgency to challenge each other to go share.
When looking at all the needs others have around us it can become overwhelming, so much so that you might feel like you should leave the job for another. Often we feel inadequate and unworthy to be used. Almost as if we need to become good enough for God to use you.
Jesus has called all of us to share. It’s not a one man job. Look at the fishermen He used. He called them to come and they dropped everything and followed. Jesus used them where they were at.
We will never be good enough, if we were it would be in our own sufficiency. We are made strong in our weakness (2Chor.12:9). It is then that God is most glorified in us and We lean more heavily on Him than ourselves.
Don’t let the lies of Satan keep you from the mountaintops with God. Just step out and let Him lead you.
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.” Luke4:18-19
Let’s try to love those who are in need. It will forever change you!!!

About Sarah Rachel Hill

After graduating high school, a tragic surfing accident changed Sarah Hill's life. Suffering a broken neck and back, Sarah clung to Christ and through this painful journey, God's plan and purpose for her life started to become clear. After recovering from her accident, Sarah completed her Associate's Degree in theology from Calvary Chapel Bible College (CCBC). Trusting God, Sarah returned to surfing and became a missionary to the island of Kauai in June 2001. There, Sarah founded Kauai Child, a ministry geared toward the island's kids. Soon after arriving in Kauai, she began spending more of her time in ministry to junior and senior high students. Sarah has helped create youth groups on the North Shore of Kauai and ministers to more than 150 kids a week. Because of her fun and loving approach to youth, she has one of the largest youth groups on Kauai. Sarah takes the time to truly listen and understand the full scope of each student's needs. Her ministry also includes helping establish Christian clubs in public schools, discipling kids, counseling students and their families, and of course, her ministry to kids on the water while surfing! Grounded in her devotion and love for Christ for more than 17 years and in ministry for 12 years, Sarah's training allows her to recognize those in need and gives her the ability to reach out to them. After growing up in a tough and abusive home, through God's grace, she continues impacting lives for God's kingdom on Kauai ... and beyond. In SOUL SURFER, Sarah is portrayed by Carrie Underwood. I’ve just read this post, an hour after closing my Facebook page. Now that may seem irrelevant, but I was pretty addicted, and I found that I wasn’t as close to God as I used to be, checking FB & Twitter more than my Bible. Thank you so much for posting this (timely) blog entry, as it makes me think that prayer along with moderation are needed. I’ll get into talking more with God and I’ll see how I feel in week. Sorry for the oddness of this comment, but it made me realise that I use social networks and my blog to minister to those who need and have Christ.

Thanks for the blog + post. Found the link on Billy Graham Evangelistic Assoc. website. Great scripture. Glad God allows us to get close to him in our pain. Seems like that’s when he shows up most for me. I volunteer as a youth leader at church for teens. There’s a lot of pain there. Thanks +

Sarah, I enjoy reading your blog. You definitely share from your heart. Your passion for serving Christ and sharing His love with others is very evident in the way you life your life. My church pastor always says, “There’s nothing more important than the Kingdom of God, absolutely nothing!” I pray that God continues to open doors for you as you share the message of the Kingdom with others. God bless you!
